Career Placement

The training at IIA is designed to prepare graduates to obtain entry-level and mid-level employment. International Institute of the Americas wants you to obtain the very best career opportunity available. We take great pride in our placement assistance. IIA graduates have achieved success in a variety of career fields. IIA's Career Development office is dedicated to seeking related employment for graduates and full-time or part-time employment for current students.

Many graduates take a proactive approach to obtain employment on their own. IIA encourages and supports this effort and will provide assistance with resumes and interviewing techniques. Students and graduates are responsible for providing the College with their employment information.

The Career Development office will assist students and graduates in their job search.
Career services include:

  • Assistance with resume writing
  • Interviewing techniques
  • Identifying job openings
  • Sending resumes to employers
  • Scheduling interviews (on and off campus)
  • Campus career fairs
  • Employers as guest speakers

IIA has been in operation since 1979 and is very active in the business community. Because our programs are so highly regarded, we received numerous calls from employers who have had success with our graduates in the past.

It should be understood that career services offered by the College are not an obligation or guarantee of employment. Also, average starting wage information based on data received from employers may be available to prospective students; no guarantee of wages can be made. There are several factors that may affect wage levels, such as the graduate's program of study, employer needs, previous experience, and current economic conditions.

IIA provides continual placement assistance for all of its alumni. The Career Development office is available to all graduates seeking assistance with resume writing, refreshing of interviewing skills, and job search.
